A remarkable tribute to the great painter “THEOPHANES THE GREEK”, the work of renowned award-winning composer Savvas Karantzias, was held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 under the auspices of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and with blessings of the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodoros V.
His Holiness Theodoros II Patriarch of Alexandria and all of Africa awards the golden medal of The Lion of Saint Mark to the Rhodian composer Savvas Karantzias after the concert and gives a speech about Theophanes the Greek and his 600 years legacy especially in Russia.
