A musical project “Theophanes Greek and Andrei Rublev: the music, given birth by Light” won the competition of grants for non-profit organizations in the framework of Federal project “Culture” by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The concert will take place on October 15, 2020 on the stage of a big concert hall “Zaryadye” – the most famous and modern concert hall for classical music performances in Moscow. The oratorios “Theophan Greek and Andrey Rublev” are written by modern Greek composer Savvas Karatzias. The world premiere will be performed by

The performance will be accompanied by a video based on frescoes and icons of the founders of Russian iconography.
The concert will be organized by Fund of Moscow Synodal choir (director – Dmitry Mayakov) with the support of Russian culture foundation, Department for external church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Church – public Council under the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia for the development of Russian church singing, companies Severstal and Unipro.
